The number of strategically located branches
in the ALL Family of Companies east of the Mississippi in the U.S. and in Canada. What began nearly 50 years ago in a trailer as a one-crane rental company is now the largest privately held crane rental and sales company in North America.
Years in business. We are celebrating our 50th anniversary in 2014 and will be growing strategically for the next 50 years. Three generations have made us strong in ways that can’t be duplicated. We reinvest in people, training, and technology to ensure your uptime.
Three brothers. One crane. What started in 1964 with three brothers, one crane, and an unwavering commitment to quality and service has grown to become the largest privately held crane rental and sales operation in North America. Michael C. Liptak, Jr.
and his brothers, Jake and Larry, first recognized the need for the equipment rental industry from their own experience running cranes. The Liptak brothers bought themselves a crane and began renting it. The fleet began to grow with cranes and trucks they bought and sold at auctions ... and a family business, not to mention a new industry, was born.
The number of man-hours ALL invests in training in an average year. We operate a mandatory, rigorous technician training program
that grounds our staff in the most current equipment servicing techniques, including direct-from-the-manufacturer training by some of the giants of the industry. Our corporate safety director, Kirk Ward, oversees all training programs and was named the 2010 Corporate Top Trainer by Crane Hot Line magazine.
Pieces of lift equipment make up our fleet. Add to this our 350 tractors and 1,700 trailers. Do the math and you will see — ALL invests to increase your uptime and profitability.
The number of tractors (350) and trailers (1,700) in our fleet to ensure faster delivery across a broader geographic footprint. This enables us to offer 24/7 service. It also enables us to deliver our own cranes to sites without depending on outside carrier fleets, making us more cost effective. This ensures on-time delivery, faster turnaround times, and less downtime.
The number of aftermarket crane parts
in our Parts Warehouse, from bolts to complete engines ... packaged and ready to ship. We stock more aftermarket parts than any other source in North America. And we're the exclusive dealer for Hunter heater parts. We're also a dealer for new parts from Broderson, Cummins, Demag, Deutz, Fleetguard, Genie, Gradall, Interstate McBee, National Crane, JLG, Lull, Shuttlelift, SkyTrak, Snorkel, Terex, and many other brands. And we can find whatever part you need in an emergency.

We pride ourselves on our 24/7 service, giving you faster turnaround times and less downtime.
The capacity in tons of the Manitowoc 21000 crawler crane. The 1,000-USt 21000 is the largest crawler in our fleet and features a 360-ft heavy-lift boom with luffing jib extension to 640 ft. Our qualified field service technicians throughout the country are required to successfully complete the rigid CANBUS AOM (Assembly, Operation & Maintenance) course for the 21000, sponsored by Manitowoc Crane CARE. This training is, in part, why we command such a strong share of the market in renting crawlers. We continue to invest, ensuring our leadership position in high-capacity crawlers. In fact, ALL's crawler fleet is recognized as the largest in the industry. We own three of the eight Manitowoc 21000s in the world.
The approximate number of employees in the ALL Family of Companies. Each branch operates autonomously, but pulls from the strength of the whole. Similarly, each employee is integral to making the ALL Family the industry leader it has become.
The approximate number of ALL service mechanics and technicians who keep our equipment in like-new condition and performance ready. The ALL Family of Companies operates a mandatory, rigorous training program
that empowers our technicians by grounding them in the most current equipment servicing techniques and the latest OSHA standards. Strengthening our technician training is one of the most important service standards we can offer you.
The number of rebuilt engines we stock–packaged, on pallets, and ready to ship, in our engine shop
, including one for the Manitowoc 21000, our colossal 1,000-ton crawler crane. Should one of our machines need an engine on the job, a replacement is on the way immediately, minimizing downtime for our customers.
The number of service shops in the main yard at our Cleveland headquarters. Since our founding in 1964, we have built, maintain, and staff our own service departments for all of the equipment we rent and sell, including our own engine shop with trained mechanics, main service department with eight bays and paint booth, truck and trailer shops, parts warehouse, tire shop, weld shop, machine shop, and glass department. We also maintain the corporate safety department and training facility.
The number of specialized bays in the main service shop at ALL headquarters where we perform regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Each bay has its own technician specialists for certain types of cranes. In this shop, we fix or rebuild transmissions, winches, air controls, hoses, brakes, and more. We refurbish all of our cylinders and package them, ready for use or shipment to one of our other branches or to a customer. Every crane inspection and every repair
we do meets or exceeds the mandated standards for quality and precision.
The 3D Lift Plan
Internet-based application is a true 3D lift-planning and crane selection application that is available on all onboard crane computers in the ALL fleet. With the increased ability to calculate and view every detail, ALL's lift-planning specialist can find the most economical crane and rigging configurations for a specific pick, plan around obstructions on a jobsite, and view the site from all angles, saving time and increasing efficiency on the job. Most importantly, thorough lift planning improves lift safety by improving foresight and real-time lift accuracy.
Dedicated safety professionals supported by consultants all over the continent. This ability—to hire specialists as needed—is important because the company recognizes that the core safety staff can’t be expert at everything. The company allows our safety pros to reach out and improve the program without diluting their our own focus.
