ALL Adds Second GMK6400 to Fleet

CLEVELAND October 20, 2014 -- The ALL Family of Companies expanded its massive fleet with the addition of a second Grove GMK6400 (450 USt/400 T), the industry's most powerful six-axle all-terrain crane.

"With its light weight carrier, it is ideal for moving within the state of West Virginia," said Chad Shamblin, general manager of ALL's West Virginia branch, where the GMK6400 will be located. "The increased capacity over the GMK 6300B that we are replacing makes it an ideal crane for oil and gas work."
One of Grove's newer offerings, the GMK6400 earned Manitowoc the "Innovation Manufacturer" award from Europe's leading lifting and transportation association. It has the best load chart in its class and a variety of cutting-edge features that crane users won't find anywhere else. In addition to an innovative removable outrigger box and self-rigging auxiliary hoist, the self-rigging MegaWingLiftattachment bumps up the capacity by nearly 70 percent and passes on tremendous savings to customers as it eliminates the need of an assist crane to install the lift attachment.
The new addition to ALL's industry-leading fleet will work out of the Nitro, West Virginia branch. ALL's first GMK6400, acquired in April, works out of the Tampa branch.
ALL has one of the largest fleets of cranes and other lifting equipment in North America. This acquisition is just one in a recent series of fleet-expanding purchases, including a seven-crane Grove package announced last week, and nearly 140 Manac specialty trailer in early September.
